Cosmetic Camouflage for Vitiligo
Vitiligo camouflage products are designed to temporarily reduce the visible contrast between depigmented patches and the surrounding skin. They do not treat vitiligo or stimulate repigmentation, but can provide an immediate cosmetic improvement in skin tone.
Camouflage can be used on visible areas of the face and body when a temporary cosmetic reduction in contrast is required.
Why Use Camouflage for Vitiligo?
Adds cosmetic colour to depigmented skin so that white patches appear closer in tone to the surrounding skin.
Unlike repigmentation treatments, camouflage provides a visible cosmetic effect from the time of application.
Can be used on smaller individual patches as well as larger depigmented areas of the face and body.
Viticolor – Long-Lasting Cosmetic Camouflage
Viticolor is a tinted camouflage gel developed specifically for depigmented skin. The coloured formula makes application easier, while self-tanning ingredients develop additional colour within the superficial layers of the skin.
The developed shade can remain visible for approximately 3–5 days. If more colour is required, another thin application can be made after approximately 8 hours.
How Does Viticolor Work?
- Tinted pigments provide immediate visible colour and help guide application directly over the depigmented area.
- DHA and erythrulose react with the superficial layers of the skin and gradually develop a longer-lasting cosmetic shade.
- Brush applicator allows more precise application to individual vitiligo patches and their borders.
- Adjustable colour allows the shade to be built gradually with additional thin applications if required.
Application tip for larger or lighter areas
A small amount of water can be mixed with Viticolor to produce a lighter, softer shade. For larger areas, a cosmetic sponge or self-tanning mitt can also help distribute the product more evenly and blend the transition into the surrounding skin.
