How It All Began
In 2016, during a season of hardship and loss, the first white patches appeared on my fingers and in intimate areas. Over time, they spread to my knees and shins. A dermatologist told me that vitiligo was incurable and would likely worsen. At that time, awareness was very limited and trustworthy information was hard to find.
But I resolved not to surrender. I delved into research, contacted doctors around the world, and read countless stories from other people with vitiligo. My aim was to find what truly helps. I experimented on myself, changed my habits, brought exercise back into my life, and focused on reducing stress.
By late 2018, I had managed to halt the spread. While on holiday in Mallorca, my knees began to repigment spontaneously. Later, with the help of a UVB lamp, I restored pigmentation in intimate areas within a few months. That two-year battle produced visible results and renewed hope.
Founding VitiligoShop
The joy and hope I regained inspired me to create a community for people with vitiligo, where we share encouragement, insights, and kindness. In early 2019, this online shop was born – bringing together the trusted products and knowledge that changed my life.
VitiligoShop launched with a mission to raise awareness and deliver effective care options.
